In a significant move towards advancing skills and expertise in the Ferrous and Non-Ferrous metals sector, the Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute, under Ministry of Steel, Govt. of India, and Indian Iron and Steel Sector Skill Council, under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, have formalized and signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 23rd April 2024.
The signing ceremony took place at Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute, Bhubaneswar, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at fostering growth and innovation in the respective industries.
Memorandum of Understanding signed between Mr. Sushim Banerjee, CEO of Indian Iron and Steel Sector Skill Council (IISSSC) and Mr. Pritam S. Purkayastha, Director of Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute (BPNSI), in the presence of both organization’s employees, marks a significant milestone in advancing skilling, reskilling and upskilling the working professionals of the IndustryThese initiatives will encompass training modules, workshops, and capacity-building activities designed to enhance the competencies of professionals and workers across all the Micro, Small and Medium enterprises (MSMEs).
