Organized under the aegis of the Shyambaba Complex Residence Cultural Society in Kaikhali, Durga Puja was inaugurated with great fanfare. MLA Aditi Munshi, MMIC Devraj Chakraborty, Councillor Samrat Barua, Vinod Sultania, Tollywood actor Rajib Bose and other dignitaries were present.
Sanjay Agarwal, President of the organization, stated that this is the second year of the Puja. The residents of the complex are particularly enthusiastic about the Puja. He added that the Puja began with a Bodhan on Mahashashthi, and a sit-and-draw competition for children was held on Mahasaptami. On Mahashtami, a special dance troupe performed Mahishasura Mardini amidst colorful artificial lights. A cultural program was also organized by the children of the society. DJ Raas Garba Nights were organised on Mahanavami. Along with this, Sindoor Khela was organised for women on Vijay Dashami and women participated enthusiastically in Dhunuchi dance.
Vice-President Ramesh Dhanuka, Anil Bhalotia, Secretary Sandeep Lohiya, Joint Secretary Ravi Lohiya, Treasurer Kamal Goenka, Joint Treasurer Satish Poddar, Convener Sunil Chaudhary, Sajjan Sharma, Prakash Saraf, Anil Chaudhary, Sanjeev Sharma, Narayan Tibrewal, Pradeep Goenka, Anirban Barman Roy and others had active contribution in the successful organisation of the Puja.
