The grand launch of Usha – Dawn of Bengali Cuisine was celebrated with much fanfare, bringing together food enthusiasts to experience Bengal’s culinary heritage in a whole new light. The restaurant promises to revive lost recipes and heirloom dishes, reinterpreted with a modern touch, offering a unique dining experience.
The menu at Usha features highlights such as Mushroom Patishapta, Keemar Doi Bora, Makhon Morich Kakra with Kurkure Kolmi, and Morning Glory Fish Fry. Reimagined classics like Neelkontho Polao, Ada Mouri Diye Mangso, and Shorbhaja with Bandel Ice Cream reflect a perfect blend of tradition and innovation, crafted using the finest local and seasonal ingredients. Spread across two cozy floors with seating for 62 guests, Usha offers an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. With prices starting at approximately ₹1000 for two, the restaurant is designed to be an
accessible yet premium destination for every occasion.
Usha is the brainchild of Jayanta Chatterjee,a veteran restauranteur and entrepreneur, and co-owner Jay Ghosh. Together, they have created a tribute to Bengal’s culinary heritage while presenting it in a contemporary, refined manner.
Now open daily for lunch from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and dinner from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Usha invites diners to rediscover the flavors of Bengal, crafted to perfection.
