Champions Crowned in a Dazzling Finale as Orchids Dreamcatchers Season 1 Wraps Up with Splendor in the Cultural Capital of India

Orchids The International School, one of the leading international K12 chain of schools, has once again demonstrated its commitment to holistic education through ‘Dreamcatchers’ a spectacular child talent hunt show in collaboration with the Kolkata Film and Television Institute (KFTI). The grand finale concluded today was aimed at nurturing and showcasing the students imagination, creativity, and critical thinking skills. Season 1 of Dreamcatchers saw an intense competition among children and discoveries of stunning talents aged 5 to 13 years.

The grand finale was hosted in the presence of renowned Tollywood Actor Jeetu Kamal, who played the role of Satyajit Ray in the much-acclaimed film Aparajito, and renowned filmmaker, theater personality and Indo-anglian poet Ashok Viswanathan. The two-day preliminary auditions held on December 1st and 2nd at the Orchids campuses in Newtown, Joka, and Madhyamgram, drew overwhelming response from various schools across Kolkata. The Intense competition unfolded as 45 finalists, spanning across acting, music, and dance categories, contended fiercely for a spot in the Grand Finale. This culminating event took place on December 3rd at the Newtown branch of Orchids The International School.

Tollywood Actor Jeetu Kamal, expressed his excitement, saying, “Being part of ‘Dreamcatchers’ was witnessing a canvas of raw talent, a glimpse into the future of performing arts. These young stars have ignited a flame that will illuminate our industry for years to come. It’s a privilege to witness such passion and promise in the next generation of artists.”

Sharing her thoughts at the closing ceremony Rubia Banerjee, Director of KFTI exclaimed “Seeing the brilliance and young talents presented at ‘Dreamcatchers’ leaves me awe-struck. These young artists are the torchbearers of tomorrow’s entertainment world. Collaborating with Orchids in nurturing this creativity has been a fulfilling journey, and I’m excited to witness these stars shine brighter in the world of film and television.”
