Under the aegis of ‘Maha All India Marwari Federation’, a grand Sawan Mahotsav and Samman-Samvad program was organized on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Bika Banquet, Rangoli Mall, Belur, Howrah.
The event was presided over by the organization’s President Mr. Ratanlal Agarwal, and successfully conducted by the organization’s General Secretary, Mr. Kishan Killa. This grand event, which ran from 5:00 pm to 10:30 pm, was attended by numerous prominent figures from the political, administrative, social, religious and industrial sectors.Hon’ble Minister if WB Govt. Sri Ajay Poddar, BJP General Secretary Sri Shashi Agnihotri, MLAs Sanjay Singh and Sajal Ghosh, along with other prominent public representatives had graced the event.
Several distinguished guests, including Smt. Meena Purohit, Smt. Anita Singh, Smt. Durgavati Singh, Smt. Purnima Kothari, Sri Chandrashekhar Bashotiya, Maharaj Pancholi, social worker and industrialist Consul General Mr. Jugal Saraf, Alam Bazaar Kesari Mr. Govind Murari Agarwal, were also present.
In addition, several IAS and IPS officers, industrialists, social workers, representatives of various social and religious organizations, community members were also present.
A special highlight of the event was the Sawan dance and music program presented by ‘Maha All India Marwari Federation’s female members. Through traditional Sawan songs and
captivating dance performances, the female members presented a beautiful glimpse of Rajasthan and Marwari culture. These performances created an atmosphere of excitement and joy throughout the auditorium.
During the event, an important announcement was made regarding the opening of a new branch of the Maha All India Marwari Federation in Raniganj. The community members present welcomed this announcement. Through the new branch, efforts will be made to further accelerate social service, cultural activities, social unity and public welfare work in the Raniganj area.
This event, steeped in the religious and cultural spirit of Sawan, offered a beautiful glimpse of the glorious traditions, social harmony and mutual brotherhood of Marwari and Rajasthani culture.
During the program, a dialogue and honouring of distinguished individuals who have made significant contributions in various fields of society was also organized. Guests present described such events as crucial in passing on the community’s cultural heritage to the new generation and strengthening social unity.
All members played a significant role.
