Adani Wilmar Limited (AWL), one of India’s largest food and FMCG companies, is honouring SuPoshan Sanginis on this International Women’s Day by launching a compelling four-video series titled ‘Stories of Sanginis: A Tribute to Their Strength’. The series will showcase the contribution of different Sanginis, who are the village volunteers for the Fortune SuPoshan initiative in different parts of India and have garnered positive impact amongst the locals by educating them on health & nutrition.
Launched in 2016, the Fortune SuPoshan program is an initiative of Adani Wilmar, implemented by Adani Foundation, the CSR arm of the Adani Group. The project has been making a significant impact on countless lives with its unique approach that involves active engagement with stakeholders, including gram panchayats, local governing bodies, healthcare facilities, and ASHA workers.

The Fortune SuPoshan initiative proudly honors the unsung heroes of our communities—the SuPoshan Sanginis—who are fostering positive change through their dedication and resilience. These women have emerged as pillars of strength, guiding families toward better nutrition, health, and overall well-being at the grassroots level.
The first video in the newly launched series titled ‘Stories of Sanginis: A Tribute to Their Strength,’ follows a Sangini as she conducts health check-ups, leads nutrition awareness sessions, and trains a group of women, all while sharing stories of her own transformation while being a part of the project. A compelling voiceover underscores her pivotal role in reshaping lives at the grassroots level.
Commenting on the newly launched video series, Mr. Angshu Mallick, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Adani Wilmar Ltd., “The SuPoshan Sanginis are true architects of change, driving transformation at the community level. Their tireless dedication to improve health and nutrition for all communities exemplifies the spirit of empowerment. The Fortune SuPoshan project is deeply meaningful to us, and we take immense pride in its progress toward combating malnutrition and anemia. We are honored to showcase their relentless efforts through this inspiring video series and hope their stories inspire many more to take charge of their well-being and uplift those around them.”
The video series will be heavily promoted on digital platforms like Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. And the company has also planned an all-India print advt. to highlight the role played by the SuPoshan Sanginis and recognize their efforts towards building a healthy and growing nation.

The Fortune SuPoshan initiative has spread its wings to over 34 locations across India since its inception across 14 states, covering 1946 villages and 190 slums and touching the lives of almost 2.5 million population. It has been instrumental in reaching the 1,79,873 children between 0-5 years age group, improving the health of over 3,28,854 women of reproductive age, and reaching out to 1,08,606 adolescent girls through tailored interventions.
The program remains committed to shaping a healthier and more empowered future. This International Women’s Day, we invite everyone to tune in, celebrate these remarkable women, and support the movement towards stronger, healthier communities.
