INDULGE IN THE EXQUISITE FLAVOURS OF LEBANESE CUISINE AT SOUK, TAJ BENGAL KOLKATA CRAFTED BY RENOWNED CHEF AMMAR MOLKI

Staff Reporter –

The City of Joy’s iconic hotel Taj Bengal, Kolkata is thrilled to announce a culinary journey through the Mediterranean. Renowned Lebanese chef Ammar Molki has curated a menu that showcases the region’s vibrant flavours and fresh ingredients.

From the Classic Hummus and Pita to more adventurous dishes like Lamb Barkook and Knafi Jibneh, guests can savour the authentic tastes of Lebanon, Morocco, and Greece. Chef Molki’s passion for Lebanese cuisine shines through in every dish, offering a unique and unforgettable dining experience.

Commenting on this, Chef Ammar Molki said, “Layers and layers of history make up the Mediterranean – discovering it is a voyage worth taking. You can’t ever talk about a cuisine without talking about its culture

and history. The Lebanese cuisine is a testament to the fact that food can be both tasty and good for you. It’s not greasy, spicy or rich, yet it’s brimming with flavours. Unlike popular belief, our food is actually rather heavy on fresh vegetables and herbs. Our food is cooked in olive oil, which is one of the healthiest foods we can eat. It’s a happy marriage of tantalizing flavours, textures and tradition. People in our country tend to live long and healthy lives. Even though foods like hummus and pita bread are very popular in India, and widely available, not too many people have tasted the real thing. As a Lebanese chef, it would be both my

pleasure and privilege to share the food I grew up eating with the people of Kolkata.”

The Lebanese Food Festival at Souk, will run from 23rd to 25th August for Dinner only. For reservations and details, guests can contact +91-33-66123310
