Tanishq, India’s largest jewellery retail brand from the House of Tata, recently dedicated a special evening to the women of Bengal – the Srijonis who shape, inspire, and celebrate Bengali culture every day at South City Mall. The event was attended by around 200+ visitors who came together to celebrate the incredible women in their lives. The evening unfolded as a vibrant gathering where visitors encouraged and applauded one another, creating a shared moment of appreciation and empowerment.
Inspired by the tagline “Srijonis of Notun Bangaliyana,” it sparked conversations with mall visitors to pause and take time to remember the vibrant, inspiring women who have inspired them. The Srijoni film, showcased on a large LED screen within the space, drew shoppers and spectators to the activation area, immersing them in a powerful narrative of empowerment through creation, celebrating women as the true creators of Bengali culture who shape and redefine Notun Bangaliyana every day. Hosted by RJ Nilanjana, she prompted visitors to narrate stories about the women who inspire them most — as mothers and mentors, friends and colleagues — and to share them through interactive dialogue.
Also contributing to the experience was a live spoken-word poetry performance inspired by the spirit of Srijoni by actress Saoli Chatterjee. The performance celebrated the quiet courage, resilience, and individual dignity that Bengali women embody every day – the very women who shape and nurture Notun Bangaliyana, creating and redefining the culture of Bengal through their everyday acts of strength, care, and creativity. Moments of collective celebration and thunderous applause unfolded throughout the experience as audiences gathered to honour the Srijoni in their lives.
In the course of the live experience, Tanishq created a heartfelt festivity, a celebration that paid homage to all women’s power in all their myriad forms, with every person involved in its soul fully aware of all that Srijoni is.
